JUNIOR age 12-19 years  

MASTER age 20-29 years

Semifinals and finals take place at Stenhammarsalen, Concerthouse in Gothenburg, Sweden

Categories

Category A

12-15 years (Participants who have not turned 16 by the date of 26 August)

Semifinal: Free choice of program with an included mandatory piano work by a Swedish composer (eg Dag Wirén, Wilhelm Stenhammar, Elfrida Andrée, Emil Sjögren, Erland von Koch, Ingvar Lidholm etc.)

Playing time: minimum 6 min max 8 min

Final: Free choice of program

Playing time: at least 8 min max 10 min

Award ceremony at the festival concert on the 27th  August

1st price 3,000 SEK

2nd price 2,000 SEK

3rd price 1,000 SEK

Best interpretation of a Swedish piano work: SEK 500

Category B

16 -19 years (Participants who have not turned 20 by the date of 26 August)

Semifinal: Free choice of program with an included mandatory piano work by a Swedish composer (eg Dag Wirén, Wilhelm Stenhammar, Elfrida Andrée, Emil Sjögren, Erland von Koch, Ingvar Lidholm etc.)

Playing time: minimum 8 min, max 10 min

Final: Free choice of program Playing time: at least 10 min max 12 min

Award ceremony at the festival concert on the 27th  August

1st price 4,000 SEK

2nd price 3,000 SEK

3rd price 2,000 SEK

Best interpretation of a Swedish piano work: SEK 500

Category C

20 - 25 years (Participants who have not turned 26 by the date of 26 August)

Semifinal: Free choice of program with an included mandatory piano work by a Swedish composer (eg Dag Wirén, Wilhelm Stenhammar, Elfrida Andrée, Emil Sjögren, Erland von Koch, Ingvar Lidholm etc.)

Playing time: minimum 10 min max 12 min

Final: Free choice of program Playing time: at least 13 min max 15 min

Award ceremony at the festival concert on the 27th  August

1st price 6,000 SEK

2nd price 4,000 SEK

3rd price 3,000 SEK

Category D

26 - 29 years (Participants who have not turned 30 by the date of 26 August)

Semifinal: Free choice of program with an included mandatory piano work by a Swedish composer (eg Dag Wirén, Wilhelm Stenhammar, Elfrida Andrée, Emil Sjögren, Erland von Koch, Ingvar Lidholm etc.)

Playing time: minimum 13 min max 15 min

Final: Free choice of program

Playing time: at least 15 min max 18 min

Award ceremony at the festival concert on the 27th  August 

1st price 12,000 SEK

 "Concert-prize for the winner of category in the 2023 productions of Orbetello Piano Competition - Orbetello Piano Festival, Italy. We will reimburse €300 travel value.
